Abstract

The recently introduced ZnSe/(Zn,Mn)Se super-lattice1 is a novel entry to the family of such II–VI compound semiconductor structures. At low temperatures, the luminescence emitted by multiple quantum wells (MQWs) is dominated by intense blue exciten recombination from the ZnSe wells up to a high Mn alloy fraction in the adjacent (Zn,Mn)Se layers (x < 0.50).
