Abstract
During the past years the investigation of the interaction between molecules and clean, well-characterized solid-state surfaces has found more and more interest. Combining molecule surface scattering with state-selective laser-induced fluorescence and laser ionization opens the possibility to measure internal-state distributions and velocity distributions of surface-scattered molecules with high sensitivity and excellent state resolution.
