Abstract

Results of a rigorous numerical simulation of diffraction coupling, radial density variations, and quantum initiation are discussed for two-color superfluorescence (SF) from a three-level system of a configuration. The calculations agree and interpret for the first time known to us the recent experimental observation of Florian et al.1 The model consists of two scalar field equations closely intertwined in the generalized three-level Bloch equations.2,3 The two transitions are initially inverted.
