A Silicon Photonics Platform with Heterogeneous III-V Integration

Abstract

We present a silicon photonics technology platform combining silicon processing technologies and heterogeneously integrated III–V materials. This enables passive and active photonic functions on silicon, such as waveguide circuits, filters, modulators, photodetectors and integrated lasers.
