Abstract

Complex eigenvalue problems of plasmonic waveguide nano-structures are solved using a classical Finite Element Method (FEM) solver and the Multiple Multipole Program (MMP). For improving the MMP performance, new eigenvalue search functions are studied. Several interesting plasmonic structures are analyzed and the two field solvers are compared.
