Dynamical Slow Light Cell based on Controlled Far-Field Interference of Microring Resonators

Abstract

A novel dynamical slow light cell with a tunable group delay, fabricated in silicon-on-insulator, is demonstrated. It provides a tuning range of more than 1 ns, with a usable group delay of about 0-24 ps.
