Coherently Controlled Time Delay Line and DFB Laser Based on a Single Electromagnetically Induced Photonic Band Gap Structure

Abstract

We utilize localized optical modes in electromagnetically induced photonic band gaps to propose a structure acting as a coherently controlled time delay line or DFB laser. These functionalities are controlled by a single infrared laser.
