Abstract

Anisotropic and magnetooptics waveguides have important applications as in tegrated optics polarization dependent devices. Their functionalities and performances are analysed by means of an anisotropic finite element full vectorial beam propagation method. The polarization dependence and the coupling due to both the material and the geometric effects are considered.
