Fabrication of New Abrupt Waveguide Bends in Lithium Niobate

Abstract

In optical integrated circuit, waveguide bends are used to change die optical wave propagation direction. They are important structures in many devices, such as couplers and modulators, to prevent the unwanted crosstalk between neighbor waveguides and make the device design become flexible.
