Engineering Quantum Dot Surfaces in Solution-Processed Optoelectronics: Chemical optimization of Photodetector and Photovoltaic Device Performance

Abstract

We report that spin-cast colloidal quantum dot devices depend sensitively on exquisite control over surface passivation. We use these findings to quadruple infrared phovotovoltaic efficiency and build the first megahertz-frequency solution-cast photodiode.
