Nanopore Fabrication in Hollow Integrated Waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate the fabrication of micropores/nanopores in hollow antiresonant reflecting optical waveguides (ARROWs) through a combination of reactive ion etching and focused ion beam etching. Optical loss measurements indicate insignificant change in the waveguide loss.
