Abstract

A new optical gain pattern-dependence suppression method in Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (SOAs) has been applied to an optically filtered SOA-based architecture to perform the all-optical polarization conversion of an ultra-fast data-stream without any pattern-dependence.
