Abstract

Principles of vectorial modeling tools for microresonator devices - a mode-matching bend mode solver, and a coupled-mode approach for the ring-to-waveguide coupler - are reviewed. A novel algorithm for modeling nonlinear pulse propagation in microresonator-based devices is described.
