Abstract

In this paper, we experimentally demonstrated a 40 Gbps optical single sideband (OSSB) modulation, direct detection (DD) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system over 80km standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) transmission using a cost-effective integrated electro-absorption modulated laser (EML).
