Probing femtosecond filamentation via high-order harmonics

Abstract

High-order harmonic radiation generated by intensity spikes inside a femtosecond filament is measured. We demonstrate the potential of our setup for probing the nonlinear filamentation dynamics and present a simple attosecond light source.
