Abstract

We demonstrate suppression of spontaneous parametric down-conversion via quantum interference with two weak coherent states. Pairs of photons upconvert with high efficiency exhibiting a nonlinearity enhanced by 10 orders of magnitude. This constitutes a two-photon switch.
