Parallelization of wide-field imaging in AIPS++

Abstract

Large synthesis arrays in radio astronomy operating at low frequencies require wide-field imaging using a full 3-D Fourier transform rather than the conventional 2-D approximation. This presents computational and algorithmic challenges. We discuss some solutions adopted in AIPS++
