The soil line: moisture-independent soil reflectance spectra

Abstract

The soil line that appears in a Red-NIR scatterplot is representative of a stable, moisture- independent spectral reflectance that spans the VNIR. This has potential for refining the characterization of, and discrimination among soil types.
