Abstract

We report on efficient high harmonic generation with a frequency-doubled high power femtosecond fiber laser. Up to 970 µW average power have been estimated within a single narrowband harmonic at 21.6 eV with krypton as generation medium. Moreover, argon allowed to reduce the energy bandwidth of H11 at 26.6 eV to ΔE/E=2*10−3 by utilizing a strong window-resonance within this spectral region. This narrow harmonic line still contains 410 µW of average power. Scaling towards multi mW average power, reducing the relative energy bandwidth to <10−4 and potential applications will be discussed.
