Abstract

When ultra-high laser intensities beyond the saturation level of atoms are used to generate shorter wavelengths via high-harmonic generation, the harmonic yield is degraded. We demonstrate that Non Adiabatic Turn-on laser field allows one to avoid efficiency losses providing new route for attosecond pulses production.
