Search for High harmonic Generation in the Reverse Direction Due to Intrinsic Phases

Abstract

Weak counter-propagating light induces standing intensity fluctuations in a laser focus. If the intrinsic phase of high harmonic emission varies rapidly with intensity, generation in the reverse direction is possible. We are searching for this effect.
