Abstract

Reported is the recent progress in the study of ultra-short-pulse high-power optical laser driven x-ray lasers at SIOM. Transient collisional excitation pumped x-ray laser in Ni-like ions was demonstrated, the analytical model for inner-shell photo-ionization pumped x-ray lasers was developed, and new optical laser facility as the driver was established.
