Abstract

Complex shaped lens such as hemispheric lens with a square flange made of SiO2 glass was fabricated with a new manufacturing method. The lens and DUV-LED (Deep ultraviolet light-emitting diode) were joined with Au-Sn foil to prevent deterioration by humidity and these properties were measured. The angle of half intensity is decreased from 120° to 40° due to the condensing effect of the lens. It is possible to fabricate DUV-LED with the lens with excellent condensing effect and reliability.
