Spectrally Extended and Synchronized Microcombs with an Auxiliary Pump Laser

Abstract

We demonstrate that the optical spectrum of microcomb can be coherently extended by bichromatic pumping: one generates a bright soliton microcomb while a second pump generates a second frequency comb via cross-phase modulation.
