We propose a polarization insensitive grating coupler using a zero-birefringence corelet waveguide. Simulations show coupling of −5.4 dB for TE and −5.6 dB for TM at 1.3 µm wavelength and a 61 nm polarization insensitive 3 dB bandwidth.
