Single Photon Optical Memory With Cavityless Levitated Optomechanics

Abstract

We investigate a protocol to upload, store and retrieve a single photon quantum state from a mechanical mode in cavityless levitated optomechanics. A high fidelity in our results indicates efficient photon-phonon-photon transfer.
