Purcell Enhancement in 1-D ITO-slot Photonic Crystal Nanobeam Cavity

Abstract

We report a Silicon-slot waveguide incorporating an active-ITO layer 1-D photonic crystal nanobeam cavity delivering ~3.4 nm tuning keeping Q-factor moderately high. The sub-diffraction limited mode volume (0.1(λ/2n)3) facilitates a high Purcell factor exceeding 4000.
