Soliton Mitosis Across a Zero-Nonlinearity Wavelength in Photonic Crystal Fibers

Abstract

We show numerically the splitting of a single fundamental soliton into two co-propagating solitons across the zero-nonlinearity wavelength through femtosecond pumping of a photonic crystal fiber with frequency-dependent nonlinearity.
