Finding excited states of physical Hamiltonians on a silicon quantum photonic device

Abstract

We introduce the concept of eigenstate-witness to implement a new protocol for finding excited-states of physical Hamiltonians. We experimentally demonstrate it on a silicon quantum photonic device embedding arbitrary controlled unitary operations.
