Abstract

We report ambient-condition growth of one-dimensional, self-assembled, single-crystalline KDP hexagonal hollow/solid core microstructures having molecular structure and symmetry identical to the type-IV KDP monoclinic crystal phase previously found to exist only at extremely high pressures.
