Thermo-optic oscillatory behavior in on-chip lithium-niobate microdisk resonators

Abstract

We report the first experimental observation of an oscillatory behavior of transmission of on-chip lithium-niobate microdisk resonators, which was attributed to the competition between a fast thermo-optic effect and a slow heat dissipation process.
