Multiband RF Filter Enabled Through Optical Phase-Sensitive Amplification

Abstract

We report experimental measurements on an RF photonic multiband filter realized using a simple, passive spectral phase mask and a fiber-based optical phase-sensitive amplifier resulting in 1 GHz bands with an extinction given by amplifier-gain-squared.
