Torsional modes of a nanofiber: polarimetric excitation and read out.

Abstract

We present a study of the torsional modes of a nanofiber excited with AM circularly polarized driving laser propagating through the fiber. We resolve the frequencies of the modes using polarimetry in a heterodyne configuration.
