Abstract

We generate non-diffracting beams—known as Frozen Waves (FWs)—which are composed of co-propagating Bessel beams and can maintain a predefined longitudinal intensity profile in absorbing fluids. FWs can be utilized in optical trapping and micro-manipulation.
