Modal analysis of transverse Anderson localization near the boundary of a one-dimensional disordered optical lattice

Abstract

Using modal analysis, it is shown that Anderson localized modes near the boundaries of a disordered lattice have the same decay exponent on the lattice side as any other mode in the bulk.
