We report a thermodynamical noise limited microlaser at 1.56-μm using dual whispering gallery mode supercavity approach. We study frequency dependence of the noise and show that it decreases with f−3/2 implying thermo-mechanical noise limit. The stabilized laser shows that fundamentally thermal noise limited integral linewidth of 8.7 Hz can be deduced from our power spectral density measurement and fractional frequency instability of 1.7×10−13 at 0.1 s integration time.
