Abstract

Dielectric laser acceleration will allow reaching acceleration gradients exceeding 1 GeV/m. We review our proof-of-concept experiment with non-relativistic electrons that showed gradients of 25MeV/m, on par with today’s RF-accelerators, and will discuss future applications.
