Engineering Spatial Coherence of Lasers for Speckle-Free Imaging

Abstract

We showed that random lasers can be engineered to provide low spatial coherence. By exploiting the low spatial coherence of specifically-designed random lasers, we demonstrated speckle-free full-field imaging in the setting of intense optical scattering.
