Frequency-Variable Comb Light Source Using an Optical Frequency Shifter

Abstract

We propose a frequency variable multi-gigahertz-comb light source whose modes are swept over its mode-spacing frequency. We successfully demonstrated a fine sweep of the laser frequency comb ranging from 1520 to 1565 nm.
