Generation of the ring-shaped optical lattice using axially-symmetric polarization elements

Abstract

A novel method to generate a ring-shaped optical lattice is developed. Combination of axially-symmetric polarization elements and an external modulator, giving copropagating interference between vortices, enables the rapid rotation of lattices with high stability.
