Abstract

In this paper, we investigate optical reconstruction of off-axis amplitude computer generated holograms (CGHs) using a binocular holographic projection three-dimensional display test-bed with two amplitude type spatial light modulators. The main consideration is the spatial alignment and matching of the three-dimensional holographic images for left- and right-eye. For matching the binocular CGHs, we propose a CGH calibration system by combining the remote 3D shape measurement technology based on the direct linear transformation (DLT) algorithm and the binocular holographic projection 3D display test-bed.
