Abstract

We demonstrate analytically and numerically that highly nonlinear optical fibers (HNLFs) shows evidence of new kind of dispersive and nonlinear phenomena when a basic approximation β(ω)+ β0) ≈ 2β0) [1] is not taken into account for the supercontinuum (SC) generation model.
