Pulse Picking of High Repetition Rate Frequency Combs for Generation of Octave-Spanning Spectra

Abstract

We discuss pulse-picking as a tool for generating octave-spanning spectra from high repetition-rate frequency combs, and demonstrate the technique with a 250 MHz comb. We analyze the noise properties important for maintaining coherent supercontinuum.
