Pulse compression and continuum generation for two-photon excited fluorescence microscopy

Abstract

By using the highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber, we can compress the pulses from standard Ti:Sapphire laser to be shorter, and generate a linear compressible continuum generation to excite multiple fluorophores in TPEF microscopy.
