Abstract
A novel fiber optic temperature sensor based on a liquid core multimode interference device is demonstrated. The sensitivity can be easily controlled and a maximum sensitivity of 20 nm/°C can be achieved. This value is at least five times better as the most sensitive fiber temperature sensor reported to date.
