Mechanical Regenerative Amplification with mHz Linewidth in a Cavity Opto-electromechanical System

Abstract

Opto-electromechanical regenerative amplification is demonstrated in a microtoroid. Mechanical linewidths as low as 5 mHz are achieved, fifty times lower than has been achieved via a pure optomechanical interaction.
