50 km Ultralong Erbium Fiber Laser with Soliton Pulse Compression

Abstract

We demonstrated a 50 km ultralong Erbium fiber laser actively mode locked with repetition rate varying from 1 to 10 GHz. The output pulse widths were determined by soliton regime at 1 and 2.5 GHz.
