Spatio-Temporal Complexity in Broad-Area Photonics

Abstract

Cavity solitons are self-localized dissipative structures. In broad-area devices, large numbers can coexist. Individual solitons can be stable, or exhibit complex dynamics. Issues of complexity, control, and potential application will be discussed.
