Pulse Splitting of Temporal Super-Gaussian Pulses in the Anomalous Dispersion Regime

Abstract

We experimentally observe splitting of temporal super-Gaussian pulses undergoing collapse in the anomalous group-velocity-dispersion regime, which is in contrast to the behavior of temporal Gaussian pulses. These results are in good agreement with numerical simulations.
