Abstract

Total hemoglobin concentration, hemoglobin saturation and scattering coefficient were extracted from cervical diffuse reflectance spectra (400-600 nm) using a Monte Carlo-based model. Total hemoglobin was shown to distinguish pre-cancerous from normal tissues (p < 0.05).
